Event Summary

On 29th January, Saturday, Eventor held a spelling contest for grade 8, 9, 10 and 11, 12 and gap years students. The event was open to people and approximately 11 people took part in the contest with an entry fee of Rs 25. Oral rounds were held on Zoom, recorded, and streamed online.

During the event, we made sure the contest was as fair as possible. So, for that, the participants were asked to open their video camera and each participant was asked to show all the parts of their room with the webcam. Several spellings were asked to each participant and with failure of spelling it correctly, the same spelling was passed to another participant and hence getting a bonus point from other’s mistakes.

At the end of the contest, Manjul Tamrakar, Sarwesh Parajuli, Amit Kurmi and Akshay Jha secured the first, second, third and fourth positions respectively. The winner, Manjul Tamrakar won NPR 1000 with the certificate of achievement. Similarly, the first runner up, Sarwesh Parajuli won NPR 500 with the certificate of achievement. And the third and fourth participants won NPR 100 as consolation prizes. Furthermore, all the participants received a certificate of participation. More or less it was a very fun contest and it helped all the participants to test their spelling skills.
